And now I am in the mood for steampunkishness.

These amazing watch parts motorcycles inspired me to look up an old Podcastle episode I remembered hearing back in February of 2010.

Podcastle Episode 90, “Biographical Notes To ‘A Discourse on the Nature of Causality, With Air-Places’ by Benjamin Rosenbaum, by Benjamin Rosenbaum (no, that is not a typo — his name is part of the title, also!) is a spectacular romp through the ideas of fiction, authoring, pirate vs. raja air-ship battles, and yes, causality. The audio file at Podcastle is good if you have time to sit and listen, but it will take all of your concentration to follow the reading.

The story can also be found at AllStarStories.com in text form or as part of the All-Star Zeppelin Adventure Stories, edited by David Moles and Jay Lake. If you want to follow along with the audio or read it online, here is the direct link to the story. Being able to refer back to previous text helps a lot, in my own opinion.

This story is rated for 12 and older on the Aardvark scale — there is some discussion of Brahmans, Hinduism, and Judaism from various points of view.

Enjoy!
